Overview of managing security
CIS Administration enables you to define security for application users and product adapters. Defining security for a user includes the ability to define:
- Secure logons.
- Time-out periods to require authentication again.
- Password expiration in days.
- Minimum password length.
- Password complexity.
- Failed login limit.
- User lockout timeout in minutes.
- Audit verbosity level (for login failures).
- Users.
- Roles and rights.
- Active and inactive states.
Defining security for domains includes the ability to:
- Indicate security to CIS Administration during adapter registration.
- Specify security rights for plugin pages.
- Assign security rights to users using security roles.
- Assign security domains to an adapter.
