Database Settings for synchronizations
The Database Settings tab of the CIS Synchronizations Adapter page enables you to view and manage database settings for CIS Synchronization database instances and the Clintrial software database instances.

Clintrial discrepancy status that corresponds to the InForm Open query status. There is no default; you must specify a value. This information is used for transfer of query (discrepancy) information from the Clintrial database back to the InForm database.
If the value you specify for "State to map queries as open" matches the value in the Clintrial software for "Discrepancy initial status" for the Clintrial rule, the Clintrial discrepancy maps as an Open query in the InForm software. If the values do not match, the Clintrial discrepancy maps as a Candidate query in the InForm software.
Note: If in the Clintrial software the value for "Discrepancy initial status" of a Clintrial rule is not specified, the CIS software assumes the default value "Ready to Send".

Use this page to:
View Clintrial databases
- Select a Clintrial software machine from the Choose Clintrial Machine drop-down list.
Note: The drop-down list is populated only when there is more than one Clintrial software machine. If there is only one machine, that machine name is displayed.
The table displays a list of instances.
Add a Clintrial database
- Click Add Instance.
- Complete the fields on the page, and click Save.
Edit a Clintrial database
- In the Clintrial Database Instance table, click Edit next to the database instance you want to change.
The Instance, CISUSER Password, and Open Query State fields are enabled.
- In the Instance field, type a new tnsname for the instance.
- In the CISUSER Password field, type a new password.
Important: If you want to change this password, you must first change the Clintrial instance password for Oracle. What you specify for the CISUSER password must be the same as the Oracle password for the Clintrial instance.
- From the Open Query State drop-down list, select the Clintrial discrepancy status that corresponds to the InForm open Query status.
Click Update.
Remove a Clintrial database
- In the Clintrial Database Instances table, click Remove next to the instance for which you want to remove the reference.
A confirmation page appears.
- Click Proceed with Deletion.
Note: This action removes the reference to the instance. It does not remove the actual instance.
