Gather Required Information for the Oracle Clinical Front End

Have the following information ready to enter in the Installer screens:

  • Home Details: Enter the following:
    • Name: OPA_HOME
    • Path: c:\opapps54
  • Java home is located in version JDK 1.8.0_251 or higher.
  • Your Oracle Fusion Middleware home directory; for example:

    C:\Oracle\Middleware\Oracle_Home

  • Your Oracle Fusion Middleware user project directory; for example:

    C:\Oracle\Middleware\Oracle_Home\user_projects

  • Your OPA home directory; by default:

    C:\opapps54

  • Cluster Configuration:

    Note:

    From Oracle Clinical release 5.2.0 onward, Oracle Clinical installer supports cluster configuration. For configuring cluster environment:
    1. Identify the primary and secondary nodes of application servers which will be part of the cluster.
    2. Install the technology stack in all nodes.
    3. Configure FRDomain only on the primary node.
    4. After installing the technology stack, use the Oracle Clinical installer to install primary and secondary nodes by selecting the cluster options.
    • For configuring the standalone server:

      Select the No option (default value) in the Cluster Configuration screen.

    • For configuring the primary node cluster:

      Select the Yes option in the Cluster Configuration screen.

      To install the primary node, select the Yes option in the Node Configuration screen, and enter the secondary node server details:

      SecondaryNodeServer.Domain:Port Number; for example:

      secondary_node_server_name.your_company.com:port_number

    • For configuring the secondary node cluster:

      Select the Yes option in the Cluster Configuration screen.

      To install the secondary node, select the No option in the Node Configuration screen, and enter the primary OPADomain Admin Server details in the Admin Server Configuration screen.

  • WebLogic username: The account created when you installed the WebLogic Server.
  • WebLogic Server Password: Enter a new password or use the password you created when installing WebLogic Server.
  • Admin Server configuration details:
    • Listen address
    • Listen port number (default is 7101)
    • SSL listen port number (default is 7102)
    • WebLogic username
    • WebLogic Server password
  • Node Manager configuration details: We recommend you to use the default values.
    • Listen address
    • Listen port number
    • WebLogic username
    • WebLogic Server password
  • Database details:
    • Server.Domain; for example:

      servername.your_company.com

    • Port number
    • Database service name
  • RDC Proxy Password (rdc_midtier_proxy)—the password you created when installing Oracle Clinical database objects
  • Your OPA backup directory:

    C:\opa_backup

  • Oracle Fusion Middleware Repository Creation Utility (RCU) configuration details:
    • Schema prefix

      Note:

      For setting the schema prefix, we recommend you to:
      • Set a value which is not in use
      • Set a value that does not start with a number
      • Specify it in the format HostNameOPA
      • Use only alphanumeric characters
      • Set a value that does not contain any special characters
      • Set a value of length not more than 12 characters
    • Database administrator username and password
    • RCU schema password
  • Wallet location: for the Wallet you created in Enable SSL Between a Browser and Oracle HTTP Server. (You can browse for it on screen.)
  • Managed Server configuration details:
    • Number of Managed Servers
    • Listen port start index
  • Online help URL: If you have customized the online help, the URL where the customized online help is located.
