About background processing for reports

Background processing allows processes, such as reports, to run without user intervention and interruption, so that you can perform other tasks simultaneously. Uninterrupted background processing also allows you to exit the application without affecting job processing or completion. Background processing is a standard feature and occurs automatically. You do not need to enable background processing.
