Data configuration example

This example shows two data configurations for the same source database. The database includes both tables and views. A view may not include all the data in the table on which it is based. For example, the DRUG table includes all reported drugs for each case, while the DRUG_S view on that table includes only drugs with a suspect indicator value of YES. The data mining runs and queries that are based on these distinct configurations are different, as both the data selected for each configuration, and the way the data can be used in the application, are different. Providing a variety of configurations can be useful for the comparative analyses conducted by Oracle Empirica Signal users.
