Refresh an interactive signal configuration using a definition file

To refresh a signal configuration without logging in to the Oracle Empirica Signal application, you can use a definition file. The definition file enables you to refresh an interactive signal configuration that you have refreshed previously.

The following procedure describes how to set up the definition file for the first time.

You must have the Manage Signal Configuration user permissions to create a definition file.

  1. In the left navigation pane, click the Settings icon (Settings icon).
  2. In the Configure System section, click Manage Signal Configurations.
  3. Click Manage Refreshes at the top of the page.
  4. Click the Row Action menu (Row Action menu icon) for the refresh to reschedule, and then click Create Definition File.
  5. Copy the contents of the Input File page into a text editor.
  6. Set the runafter property.

The format for the date and time is mm/dd/yyyy hh\:mm\:ss.

  7. Save the file as refreshTest.in.
