About user names

You create a unique user name for each user who logs in to Oracle Empirica Signal. Oracle Empirica Signal converts user names to lowercase and does not allow two user names that differ only in case. For example, if you create user jkelley and then attempt to create user JKelley, Oracle Empirica Signal sends you a message that the user already exists.

If you work in a self-hosted environment with single sign-on, you must give each user the same user name in Oracle Empirica Signal and the single sign-on application. For example, you might give a user the user names JKelley in Oracle Access Manager and jkelley in Oracle Empirica Signal. The case of each user name can be different.

If you work in an Oracle-hosted environment, you create each user only once, in Oracle Health Sciences Identity and Access Management Service console.
