Install or upgrade the RGPS add-on package to the R library

If you have R version 3.6.1 installed, you can optionally install the RGPS add-on package to enable Regression-adjusted Gamma Poisson Shrinker (RGPS) computations in Multi-item Gamma Poisson Shrinker (MGPS) data mining runs.

For more information, see the User Guide and Online Help. The RGPS add-on package is included with the Oracle Empirica Signal installation files.

For new installation or upgrading from previous versions that already have the RGPS add-on package installed and updated R to the version 3.6.1, perform these steps using the privileged user account on the application server.

1. In a command shell, navigate to the directory that contains RGPS_9_2_0_0_XXX.tar.gz.
2. Execute the following command:

   $ sudo R CMD INSTALL RGPS_9_2_0_0_XXX.tar.gz

   Note:

   If you upgrading Oracle Empirica Signal and still have R 3.3, contact Oracle Support to continue using R 3.3 and RGPS with Oracle Empirica Signal 9.2.
