About configuring Oracle Analytics authentication
Before you start Oracle Analytics configuration, gather the following information.
- Oracle Database password for the Oracle Empirica Signal schema.
- Password for the
Topics.rpdfile. - Password for the RPD connection database user.
During Oracle Analytics installation, replace each variable that you encounter in the instructions and record the new value as follows:

Note:
Replace any tags of the <replaceDir> type with corresponding directory paths.To access Oracle Empirica Topics reports in Oracle Analytics using your Oracle Empirica Signal password, you must install and configure the authentication plug-in.
