Modify Search Results
Along with search parameters that are used as input to search filters, there are also Search Result Parameters defined to modify the results of a performed search.
The following sections describe the search result parameters supported by Oracle HDR FHIR.
- Include and RevInclude Parameters
Along with resources matching search criteria, clients may request that related resources are included with results. For example, when searching for clinical resources (Observation, etc.), the client will also generally need the subject (Patient) resource that the clinical resource refers to. - Summary Parameter
The client can request the server to return only a portion of the resources by using the parameter_summary
. - Limit Size Parameter
The parameter_count
is defined as an instruction to the server regarding how many resources should be returned to the client in a single page. - Elements Parameter
A client can request a specific set of elements be returned as part of a resource in the search results using the_elements
parameter. - Sort Parameter
The client can indicate which order to return the results by using the parameter_sort
, which can contain a comma-separated list of sort rules in priority order. - Contained Resources
By default, search results only include resources that are not contained in other resources. However, chained parameters will be evaluated inside contained resources. The client can use the_contained
parameter to include contained resources in the search result.
