Removing preferential treatment from foreground applications
To provide more resources for background applications:
- Select Control Panel > System.
- In the System Properties dialog box, click the Advanced tab.
- Click Performance > Settings.
- In the Performance Options dialog box, click the Advanced tab.
- Select Background applications.
- Click OK until all dialog boxes close.
