Patient initials

The system configuration setting UniqueIntlDOBSwtch (Require unique patient initials and date of birth in the InForm application Admin user interface) enables you to specify that the InForm application requires all combinations of patient initials and date of birth to be unique across a trial or across a site. The default setting is not to require unique initials and dates of birth.

If unique patient initials and dates of birth are required at the trial or site level, the InForm application does not process the transfer of patients whose combined initials and dates of birth are duplicated at the destination site. To prevent the possibility of conflict, you can set this switch to None in a trial where patient transfer is anticipated.
