Add JRE to the JAVA_HOME environment variable
Set the JAVA_HOME environment variable to the path for the Java Runtime Environment 1.8 (for example, C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.8.0_141) on the following reporting servers:
- Cognos Content Manager Server

- Cognos Report Server
For more information, see Step 3: Set up JRE on the Cognos Report Server.
You must update the environment variable with the full path every time you install a JRE update.
