Example 3: Incomplete non-repeating section, one itemset, and an additional form

This example shows the report output for subjects AAA, AAB, and AAC when the data in the non-repeating section is incomplete for subject AAC, and data from the Subject Identification (SI) form is included in the report.

For subjects AAA and AAB, the itemset data is associated with the data in the non-repeating section, and the data in the non-repeating section is associated with the data on the SI form. Therefore, in this instance, the itemset data is associated with the data on the SI form for subjects AAA and AAB. Because data is not entered in the non-repeating section for subject AAC, the data that exists for subject AAC on the SI form is not associated with the itemset data, and therefore does not appear in the report, even if data for subject AAC exists on the SI form.

User interface illustration

Report output showing one itemset, a non-repeating section, and an additional form.

1—Non-repeating section data.

2—SI form data.

3—Non-repeating section data, continued.

4—For subject AAC, the non-repeating section that is associated with Itemset Instance 1 and Itemset Instance 2 does not contain data. Therefore, blank cells appear for the columns that correspond to the data for the non-repeating section, and the columns that correspond to the data for the SI form. An association cannot be made between the itemset data and the data on the SI form without data in the non-repeating section.

5—The Itemset Index column indicates that:

  • For subject AAA, the non-repeating section is associated with two itemset instances on Form 1 (rows 1 and 2), and three itemset instances on Form 2 (rows 3-5).
  • For subject AAB, the non-repeating section is associated with two itemset instances on Form 1 (rows 6 and 7).
  • For subject AAC, the non-repeating section is associated with two itemset instances (rows 8 and 9).

6—The Form Index column indicates that the non-repeating section appears on two forms for subject AAA, and one form for subject AAB. For subject AAC, the non-repeating section does not contain data. Therefore, data from the SI form does not appear for subject AAC; however, the itemset instances associated with the non-repeating section for subject AAC appear in rows 8 and 9.
