Data from repeating objects
When you create a report that contains clinical data, you need to include some kind of unique identifier so that you can determine which instance of each data point you're reporting on. For example, if you want to create a report about a particular subject, you need a way to identify the subject. You can use any of the following as identifiers:
- Subject Number, if your study requires unique subject numbers.
- Subject Number and Subject Initials, if your study doesn't require unique subject numbers.
- Internal IDs for:
- Subjects
Tip: Use the SUBJECTID internal ID to identify a subject if your study doesn't require unique subject numbers. The SUBJECTID internal ID appears in the Internal IDs folder for the Subjects query report.

- Study versions
- Visits
- Forms
Tip: Use the Form Index, Itemset Index, and Visit Index internal IDs to identify an instance of a repeating form, items, or visit. For example, to identify an instance of an Adverse Events form, add the FORMINDEX report element from the Internal IDs folder under the Adverse Events form report element.
