Onboard Your Oracle Health EHR Environment

This topic provides information on onboarding your Oracle Health EHR environment.

Oracle Health Clinical Data Exchange is available to Oracle Health EHR customers at no additional charge to help automate the release of clinical information to payers for payment and operations activities.

Note:

Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) privacy rules provide circumstances in which providers and payers are permitted to use and disclose data for payment and healthcare operations.

Oracle Health provides the technical work that is necessary to connect your EHR (such as Millennium Platform) environment to the network, which helps to limit the effort needed by your site.

Your site controls which payers are enabled for data-sharing, and which clinical document concepts and event notifications are enabled for a payer.

Currently, you can authorize the onboarding of your EHR environment to Oracle Health Clinical Data Exchange and the sharing of data with your selected payers through the following support process:

  1. Log a service record (SR) using eService.
  2. Select System or Configuration Change Request in the SR Type box.
  3. Enter Clinical Data Exchange Onboarding Request in the Title box.
  4. Select Clinical Data Exchange in the Solution box.
  5. Select Solution Provisioning in the Cerner Projection Organization box.
  6. Complete the Provider Onboarding Template and attach it to the SR.

Contact your Oracle customer service representative for access to the Provider Onboarding Template or if you need assistance with these tasks.

Using the Provider Onboarding Template, you can indicate your approved payer connections, and provide the information that is required to create your profile in Oracle Health Clinical Data Exchange, identify your Millennium Platform environments for onboarding, and document your data-sharing decisions.

Once any of your approved payers are onboarded, Oracle enables data-sharing in Oracle Health Clinical Data Exchange based on your data-sharing decisions. You also receive a notification when your approved payers are enabled.

Note:

If your organization has multiple production environments, you must submit separate SRs for each environment.

If you need to adjust your data-sharing decisions from the Provider Onboarding Template, log additional SRs to update those decisions.
