API Access and Fees for Registering an App

Introduction

Application programming interfaces (APIs) spur innovation and collaboration among a broader community of developers, enabling the creation of new technology that unlocks opportunities to advance healthcare. Oracle Health APIs are cloud-based, allowing for rapid, agile deployment of future updates or enhancements. Implementation of the APIs is simplified for healthcare providers because the ontology mapping process is centralized, which requires less effort than when performed on a per-deployment basis.

CARIN Alliance Code of Conduct

The CARIN Alliance Code of Conduct represents consensus best practices for protecting the privacy of consumers’ electronic health information. Oracle encourages all consumer app developers to formally attest to the code of conduct to promote a more transparent and safe health app ecosystem. Health apps that attest to the CARIN Alliance Code of Conduct are published at myhealthapplication.com.

Registering a Consumer Access App

Complete the following steps to register your app for consumer use:

  1. Review and accept the Terms and Conditions for Oracle Health APIs (PDF).
  2. Review the Oracle Health AI Application Suite API documentation, including the list of available FHIR API resources.
  3. Review and attest to the CARIN Alliance Code of Conduct (strongly recommended but not required).
  4. Register your application.
  5. Test in the Oracle Health AI Application Suite sandbox (strongly recommended but not required).
  6. Publish your application.

Registering a Provider or System Access App

Complete the following steps to register your app for provider or system access:

  1. Review and accept the Terms and Conditions for Oracle Health APIs (PDF).
  2. Review the Oracle Health AI Application Suite API documentation, including the list of available FHIR API resources.
  3. Register your application.
  4. Develop a working app demo, connecting with the Oracle Health AI Application Suite sandbox.
  5. Publish your application.

After publishing, your app will be available for Oracle Health AI Application Suite customers to consider for implementation.

Fees

Value-added services will be available to developers at a later date.
