2 Global Settings

Global Settings apply to all areas of the patient portal. Access Global Settings through the Administrative Console Home. Access to the Global Settings module is determined based on your organization's role-based policies. If you need access but do not have it, contact your IT administrator or your Oracle Health representative.

The Global Settings section allows you to configure the following areas:

  • Foundation: View and change general information about your organization including address, phone number, website, time zone, and logo; view and change display formats; view and change available languages. Configure the Foundation settings before you configure other areas. Foundation settings apply to all workflows in your patient portal instance. For example, your organization's address and contact information are foundational settings used to configure email notifications, and must be set first because your organization's contact information is included email templates.
  • Confidentiality: Set the age at which Patient Portal users are considered minors and adults. In some jurisdictions, minors who have proxies can restrict certain information from their proxy at a given age.
  • Policies: Create and translate policies that apply to specific areas of your organization and that are displayed when Patient Portal users access certain workflows. Policies created here are applied in the module for the area they apply to.
  • Code Sets: View code sets and adjust code values related to the code set.
  • Third-party Integrations: View available third-party companies and the Patient Portal area that they are available to replace. These integrations have been approved through the Oracle Partner Network program.
