Description
Oracle Health Communications Service provides a unified, secure, and scalable platform that allows near real-time notifications to, and interactions with patients when using certain Oracle Health products.
Intended Use and Claims
Oracle Health Communication Service offers a common set of messaging capabilities, including email, in-app notifications, and SMS text messages, providing the ability to establish consistent privacy, consent, and delivery controls across the following Oracle Health products:
- Oracle Health EHR
- Patient Portal
- Revenue Cycle Management
- Oracle Health Patient Administration
- eSignature
The content of the communication is determined by the integrated Oracle Health product’s scope and function. However, this service is not intended to be used for emergency medical communications, and no clinical decision support or automated diagnosis is provided through this service.
Oracle Health Communication Service is designed for extensibility to support two-way communication such as bidirectional SMS. The SMS protocol used to deliver messages to cell phones does not support encryption, so this service prohibits transmission of PHI in SMS payloads.
Indications for Use
Oracle Health Communication Service is recommended for delivering and facilitating communication with patients and patient proxies.

- eSignature Cloud Service
