Find Care as a Guest

Component: Scheduling

A website plug-in allows users to search for care from the web before identifying themselves and without logging into the portal. Once a slot is selected, the user inputs identification details and authenticates via a passcode to complete scheduling as a new or existing patient.

UI Impact: Workflow (Automatic)

Verify that unauthenticated users (new or existing patients) can search for an appointment slot without portal login.

Verify that unauthenticated users can then enter name, date of birth, and email to receive a passcode to complete scheduling on the above selected slot.

Implementation impact: Low

Enable the Find Care Outside of Portal feature in Oracle Health Patient Portal Administrative Console.

No Surprises Act Language

Appropriate Good Faith Estimate disclaimers are automatically displayed within scheduling workflow to satisfy the No Surprises Act, according to if the patient has active insurance on file and if they plan to use it for the appointment.

Scheduling Safety and Policy Text (HLG2-6605, HLG2-4689)

Client-Configured Scheduling Safety and Policy Text may be displayed during self-scheduling workflows to support organizations in notifying their patients about health emergencies and their policies for cancelations or rescheduling.

Verify that configured safety text is displayed at the beginning of the scheduling workflows within patient portal.

Verify that configured policy text is displayed at the end of the self-scheduling workflow.

Configure the Safety Text in Oracle Health Patient Portal Administrative Console to customize the disclaimer text displayed at the start of self-scheduling workflows.

Configure the Scheduling Policy Text in Oracle Health Patient Portal Administrative Console to customize the text displayed at the end of the self-scheduling workflows to notify patients about policies for canceling or rescheduling appointments.

Add to Calendar Options (HLG2-4688)

Component: Scheduling

The calendar can be downloaded as a time-only or details-included version.

UI Impact: Workflow (Automatic)

Users can add an appointment to their calendar with options of Time Only or Include Details. The time-only version downloads a calendar file with only the time, duration of appointment, and subject of Health Visit. The details-included version downloads a calendar file with additional information about the appointment type, provider, location with address, time of appointment, and appointment duration.
