This topic describes information for the ChargeItem resource.

Overview

The ChargeItem resource describes the provision of healthcare provider products for a certain patient. This provision refers not only to the product, but also contains details such as date, time, amounts, and participating organizations and persons.

The ChargeItem resource is mainly used to enable the billing process and internal cost allocation.
