Configure Existing Position Relationships Settings

This topic provides information on configuring existing settings for the Position Relationships functionality.

A portion of existing settings for the position relationships functionality is recognized for Oracle Health EHR. In Oracle Health EHR, only one relationship can be assigned to a position. If multiple relationships are assigned to a position, then no relationships are assigned.

The following configuration steps in All About Relationship Management are required:

• All steps in the Design section.

• The following steps in the subsections of the Build Patient-Provider Relationships section are required:

  • All steps in the Prerequisites section.
  • All steps in the Build Relationship Types section. The table of example relationships is not relevant.

  • Only the following steps in the Build Relationships Between Positions and Relationship section:

    Use the Position Relationship tab of Privileges Maintenance (PrivMaint.exe) to configure possible self-declared relationships. From the Edit menu, select Add/Modify Position or select Position Relationships on the toolbar.

  • All steps in the Build Relationships section. The note about the SELF_DECLARE_RELTN preference is not required.
  • All steps in the Provider Tab section except for defining a relationship for a specific visit.

  • In the Patient Tab section:

    • Define person-level relationships (required).
    • Select a provider and the provider's relationship to the patient.
    • Defining an encounter-level relationship and a relationship for a specific visit are not required.
