Log a New Supply Administration

Ambulatory nurses can log the use of supplies in Oracle Health EHR.

To log the use of supplies:

1. At the bottom of the patient's chart, select Supply Administration.
2. In the Service Date box, select the date the supplies were used.
3. From the Performing Location list, select the location that the care was performed.
4. Scan the bar code for the supply being used or use the search box to search for the supply.
   1. Optionally, you can select the filter button to define additional search parameters.
5. If selecting a supply item that is not tracked by lot or serial number, select a fill quantity and select Save.
6. If selecting a supply item that is tracked by lot or serial number, enter the required details and select Save.
7. Select Remove if you want to remove a supply item from the list.
   1. If you are scanning a bar code, the lot, serial number, and expiration date are populated automatically.
8. Select Complete.
   Oracle Health EHR sends an inventory transaction to Millennium Platform to update the supply inventory. If the supply used is recognized by the system as a medical implant, the patient's implant history is updated in the Histories section of Oracle Health EHR.
