Summaries

This topic provides information about generated summaries in Oracle Health EHR.

AI-generated summaries are designed to provide you with clinically relevant information tailored to each patient’s health history. The summaries may include both narrative and structured data, and are generated from numerous data points throughout the EHR, including recent encounters, results, medications, diagnostic reports, and notes.

Each summary includes a hyperlink that you can select to view the sources that the summary was generated from. This view allows you to confirm the information provided in the summary without having to manually search the patient's chart. Additional hyperlinks are also available in summaries and can be selected to view more detailed information. For example, when you select a hyperlink for a medication or problem, a summary is generated.

Organizer Summary

Use the organizer summary when you are viewing your schedule. The organizer summary includes high-level patient information to help plan for the day. The following key sections are included in this summary:

• Reason for Visit/Chief Complaint
• Last Seen by You
• Number of New Problems Since Last Visit
• Number of New Medications Since Last Visit

Previsit Summary

Use the previsit summary to view information about an upcoming patient visit and relevant historical information about the patient. This summary can help you prepare for the visit and is tailored to the visit type. Five items are displayed per section in this summary. Select See More to view additional items in a section when applicable. The following key sections are included in this summary:

• Last Visit With Me
• New Since Last Seen
• Recent Diagnostics
• Care Recommendations

Patient Summary

Use the patient summary to view a general overview of the patient. This summary can be used when no specific encounter is associated with the patient, and is accessed from the patient chart under the Timeline and Component tabs. The following key sections are included in this summary:

• Relevant Medical Information
• Last Encounter
• Recent Results

Medication Summary

Use the medication summary to view the patient's medication-specific information, including medication history and related condition information. The following key sections are included in this summary:

• Medication Usage History
• Condition History
• Medication Compliance

Problem Summary

Use the problem summary to view the patient's current problem-specific information. The following key sections are included in this summary:

• Treatment History
• Condition History
• Recent Results
• Social History

Post Visit Summary

Use the post visit summary to view details from a past encounter. You can access this summary under the Timeline tab when you select a previous visit. The following key sections are included in this summary:

• Condition Highlights
• Follow-up Actions
