Modify Collected Requests

Component: Specimen Collections

You now can update collection details for completed collections.

UI Impact: Workflow (Automatic)

An Edit button is available for completed collections.

See the Modify Details section of the Specimen Collections User Guide for more information.
  1. On the Specimen Collection page, select See Completed Collections.
  2. Select Edit next to a collection. Edit the details and select Update. Verify that the edits are applied to the collection.

Enhancement LAB-446:

Modify Multiple Collection Requests

Component: Specimen Collections

You now can update collection details for multiple requests at once.

UI Impact: Workflow (Automatic)

A Modify button is available to edit multiple collection requests simultaneously.

  1. On the Specimen Collection page for pending collections, go to the Collect and Scan section.
  2. Select multiple collection requests and select Modify at the top of the list.
  3. Edit the details of the collection requests and select Update. Verify that the edits are applied to the selected collection requests.

Laboratory Filter in Needs Attention

Component: Specimen Collections

You now can filter collection requests on the Needs Attention page.

UI Impact: Workflow (Automatic)

A filter for the category Laboratory is available in the Needs attention page.

  1. Open a patient chart with a collection request.
  2. Select Needs Attention.
  3. On the Needs Attention page, select the Ask Oracle bar, then select Category.
  4. Select Laboratory and verify that the results are filtered for specimen collections.

Enhancement LAB-1742:

Reschedule Missed Collections

Component: Specimen Collections

The following features are available when marking a collection as missed:

  • You can reschedule a collection.
  • You can record the number of attempted collections.

UI Impact: Workflow (Automatic)

When marking a collection as missed, you can reschedule it.

Correction LAB-1729:

Sorting Completed Collections

Component: Specimen Collections

On the Specimen Collection page for collected collections, selecting the sorting arrows in the heading column sorts the list.

Validation Guidelines

Reschedule Missed Collections (LAB-1742)

  1. On the Specimen Collections page, access the Collect and Scan Items for pending collections.
  2. Select the checkbox next to a container.
  3. Select Miss Selected.
  4. Select Reschedule.
  5. In the Reschedule Collection panel, select the order, new date and time, and miss reason and add a comment and number of attempts.
  6. Select Sign. Verify that the collection is rescheduled.
