Visits UI Updates

Component: Visits

The following changes are available for Visits:

  • The UI of the Visits section of the patient's chart and the Visits page is updated to a display a timeline view, with multiple appointments displayed in a single row for a visit.
  • When you select a visit with an appointment, the Overview tab is opened by default in the visit details panel.
  • The following actions are available:
    • Reschedule
    • Cancel Appointment
    • Resend Appointment Notification
    • Edit Visit
    • Book Again
  • You can schedule an appointment in Oracle Health EHR

UI Impact: Workflow (Automatic)

The UI is updated to a timeline view and new functionality is available.

Validation Guidelines

Visits UI Updates (EHRM-20418)

Scenario 1: Timeline View

Verify that the Visits section of the patient's chart or the Visits and Appointments tab on the Visits, Appointments, and Referrals page is displayed in a timeline view and verify that appointments are listed in a single row for a visit.

Scenario 2: Overview Tab Defaulted

In the Visits section of the patient's chart or the Visits and Appointments tab on the Visits, Appointments, and Referrals page, select a visit with an appointment. Verify that the overview tab is opened by default.

Scenario 3: Edit Visit or Appointment

  1. In the Visits section of the patient chart or in the Visits and Appointments tab on the Visits, Appointments, and Referrals page, select Actions (...) next to a visit.
  2. Select Edit Visit.
  3. On the Manage Visit page, update the appointment and visit details and select Save. Verify that the appointment and visit details are updated.

Note:

For visits without appointments, you can modify only the visit details.

Scenario 4: Schedule an Appointment

  1. In the Visits section of the patient’s chart or on the Visits, Appointments, and Referrals page, select New Appointment. On the Schedule Appointment page, enter the following search criteria:
    • Start date
    • Availability type
    • Specialty
    • Appointment type
  2. Select an available appointment and select Schedule. Verify that the appointment is scheduled.

Scenario 5: Reschedule an Appointment

  1. In the Visits section of the patient chart or in the Visits and Appointments tab on the Visits, Appointments, and Referrals page, select Actions (...) next to an appointment with a status of Scheduled, Checked-in, No-Show, or Canceled.
  2. Select Reschedule.
  3. In the Reschedule Appointment panel, select who requested the reschedule and the reason, then select Continue.
  4. On the Reschedule Appointment page, select a start date, then select an available appointment.

    Note:

    Appointment type, specialty, provider, and location are prepopulated based on the original appointment but can be modified.
  5. Select Reschedule. Verify that the appointment is rescheduled.

Scenario 6: Book Again

  1. In the Visits section of the patient chart or in the Visits and Appointments tab on the Visits, Appointments, and Referrals page, select Actions (...) next to a checked-out appointment.
  2. Select Book Again.
  3. On the Book Again page, select a start date, then select an available appointment.

    Note:

    Appointment type, specialty, provider, and location are prepopulated based on the original appointment but can be modified.
  4. Select Book Again. Verify that the appointment is rescheduled.

Scenario 7: Cancel an Appointment

  1. In the Visits section of the patient chart or in the Visits and Appointments tab on the Visits, Appointments, and Referrals page, select Actions (...) next to an appointment with a status ofScheduled, Checked-in, or No-Show.
  2. Select Cancel Appointment.
  3. In the Cancel Appointment panel, select who requested the cancellation and the reason, then select Cancel Appointment. Verify that the appointment is canceled.

Scenario 8: Resend Appointment Notification

  1. In the Visits section of the patient chart or in the Visits and Appointments tab on the Visits, Appointments, and Referrals page, select Actions (...) next to existing or future scheduled appointment.
  2. Select Resend Appointment Notification. Verify that an appointment notification is re-sent.
