The content below lists the features and updates for the Oracle Hospitality Cruise Shipboard Property Management System (SPMS) 23.2 release.

Tools and Technology Updates

The following controls have been upgraded to meet compliance standards.
  • Upgraded BouncyCastle to version 2.4.0.

  • Upgraded Helidon to version 2.6.7.

  • Upgraded MsXml4.dll to version MsXml6.dll.

  • Upgraded OJET to version 16.1.4.

  • Upgraded RAPID to version 16.0.0.

  • Upgraded Tomcat to version 10.1.26.

OHC Database Installer

Improved the delivery of Database Installer to prevent existing reports from being overwritten.

OPI Handling

Enhanced the display of card owner information if the registered card is a Gift Card.

Renamed the Reload button to Refund button for OPI Gift Card and added the sorting for Gift Card/Reward listings, order by the latest record.

RFID Card Mapping

Enhanced to write RFID serial number to existing RFID table during encoding or printing of the RFID card. No changes were made to the existing Visionline Door reading and encoding behavior.

Property Management System

Administration - Integration Configuration

Enhanced the configuration for the OPI and Travel Document Scanner connection, which was previously only adjustable through the Install Shield. Now, users can easily change or update the connection settings from the Utilities menu under the Integration Configuration option, providing greater flexibility.

The Integration Configuration will have 2 options: -
  • Oracle Payment Interface – Configuration of OPI connection Details.

  • Travel Document Scanner – Configuration of Travel Document Scanner connection details.

Gateway Security

Implemented new function for Internal Gate featuring enhanced security control for both inward/outward direction, optimizing movements within a location, and enabling crew assistance at the gateway. Users can perform a manual search, scanning a barcode via camera or reading with RFID

Guest Handling

Enhanced the Create Reservation function to allow user to create more than one (1) reservation from a single page.

Enhanced the Application Session Timed Out handling to base on the last activity of the application screen instead of last API call.

Enhanced the guest name display to show with a combination of First Name + Middle Name + Last Name.

Implemented Special Needs handling that will enable the user to assign, edit and view the reservation special needs.

Improved the date format from Date Time to Date Format in guest handling pages to address the -1 days issue.

Enhanced to include the following fields in the Sync Guest Details.
  • Birth Place, Home address email2, Document Checked, Document Collected, Award Level, Onboard Email, Number of Cruises, Number of Cruise Days and Exclude Quick Billing Printing.

  • Passport Issued Date, Passport Issued Place, Passport Issued Country.

  • Routing Assignment and Routing sub-department.

  • All credit card status (active and inactive).

  • Marked the special needs option if special needs assignment is found.

Mustering

Enhanced the ability to notify user if the safety mode has changed in the Dashboard when using the system online.

Role Manager

Enhanced the Role Manager function to:
  • Enable the retrieval of access rights from various user groups for user login account that has multiple user group assigned.

  • Enhanced the Edit User Group page to allow modification for the User Group Description and User Group Status which was a display only in previous version and user would need to amend from SPMS Desktop Application, if needed.

  • Introduced new functionality to the User Group:

    • Create User Group option – Allow to create new user group.

    • Delete User Group option – Delete existing user group.
