OPERA Cloud Configurations

To enable Gaming operations with various gaming systems, you must configure the below entities in OPERA Cloud.

Membership Type

For the execution of gaming operations with any gaming system, you must create a Patron Tracking System (PTS) membership type. Create one (for example, named "PTS") and verify it is marked as "Primary" and also as "Centrally Managed."

Also, make sure the membership handling this Membership Type is set up to use the external database you will create/configure below.

Promotional Codes

To fetch the gaming offers from any gaming system, promotion codes must be created in OPERA Cloud. These promotions must have the same information (code, start and end dates) as the existing offers in the corresponding gaming system.

External System

For execution of any Customer Relationship Management (CRM) operations with your PTS, an external system is required.

Create an external system named, for example, "{GAMING_SYSTEM_NAME}<PROPERTY_ID>" in OPERA Cloud. For details on how to create an external system in OPERA Cloud, see Configuring External Systems in the OPERA Cloud Services User Guide.

Note:

Other external system names are also valid.

External Database

For execution of any CRM operations with a gaming system, an external database is required.

Create an external database with the same name as the external system previously created in OPERA Cloud. For details on how to create an external database in OPERA Cloud, see Configuring External Databases in the OPERA Cloud Services User Guide.

OPERA Cloud Modules

For gaming system operations to work with the external PTS system, the following OPERA Cloud modules must be active:

OPERA Membership

• Function Enrollment with system "GAMING" added to it (other systems besides “Gaming” can also exist).

OPERA Comp Accounting

• Function Comp Request active.

• Function Comp Types active.

• Parameter Comp Accounting Integration Service active.

• Parameter Comp Redemption active.

• Parameter Generic Comp Membership Number active.

• Parameter PTS Membership Type based Comp Routing active.

• Parameter Player Statistics active.

• Setting Default PTS Membership Type with value PTS.

OPERA Profile

• Function Profile Lookup → Default External System for Lookup set to the External System created above. This External System must be flagged for Loyalty.

• Function Profile Lookup → External Lookup Behavior set to FORCE.

• Function Profile Lookup → Profile Types for Lookup set to Company, Individual, Group, Source, and Travel Agent.
