Alternate Properties

The Alternate Properties option offers the configuration of alternate properties and the different distance information from/to your property.

Prerequisites

Appropriate permissions are required to access Alternate Properties. From the Role Manager menu, select Role Permissions. The Alternate Property Setup permissions are covered by the Channel Management module. For further information, see: Role Permissions.

Note:

At a minimum, your role must have the View permission to view the option available on the Horizontal Lines menu. Additional permissions are required to have access to additional options.

Managing Alternate Properties

Managing your alternate properties lets you view, define, and update if appropriate permissions are given.

Note:

Your alternate properties are displayed right away when you select the menu option and sort by Distance in ascending order.

Creating and Updating Alternate Properties

Select the Add button to create an alternate property. Use the pencil on the right-hand side of each record to edit a record.
  • Alternate Hotel ID: Select an alternate property from the list of properties where you have access. Already assigned alternate properties are not listed. This field is required.

  • Compass Direction: Select the compass direction of the alternate property. This field is required.

  • Distance: Enter a distance to the alternate property. This field is required.

  • Unit: Select whether the distance is kilometers or miles. This field is required.

  • Driving Time: Enter a free definable driving time to/from the alternate property, for example: 30 minutes.

  • Comments: Enter an additional information or comment if needed.

  • Click Submit to create the record. Click Update to save your edits on existing records.

Deleting an Alternate Property

Select the Delete icon on the right-hand side of each record. A message provides you with the option to Keep or Delete the record.

The Delete icon is available only with the appropriate permission.
