Channel Availability

The Channel Availability provides to compare the public lowest rates for multiple channels for a property and their availability and offers.

From the Channels main menu, select Channel Availability.

Prerequisites

Appropriate permissions are required to access the Channel Rate Access menu. From the Role Manager menu, select Role Permissions. The permission for Channel Availability is listed in the Shop module. For further information, see: 13.1 Role Permissions.

Managing Channel Availability

Use the following to search:
  • Channels: Select one or multiple Channels. The list shows all channels with Active, Maintenance, or Test provision status where Offer Validation is set. See Updating a Channel Provision. This field is required.

  • Check-In Date: Select the Check-In Date. By default, it is today’s date. This field is required.

  • Stay Nights: Enter the number of stay nights (maximum number of 14). The default number is 1. This field is required.

Expand the Show More section to search in more detail:
  • No. of Adults: Enter the number of adults. By default it is 1.

  • No. of Children: Enter the number of children.

  • Children Ages: Enter the age of children according to the number of children by separating with a comma, for example 1,5. This field is accessible only if No. of Children is entered.

  • Channel Rate Code: Select one or multiple channel rate codes.

  • Access Code: Enter the access code that enables users to get the negotiated rate

Click Search to get search results.

Only records matching all the selected criteria appear. Click Reset to reset the search data.

Viewing Channel Availability

On the search results, you can view the following:
  • Channel Name: Shows the selected channels from search criteria.

  • Currency: Shows the minimum rate and currency.

  • Status: Shows whether the channel is available for the entered search criteria

If a channel is available, click the View icon on the right-hand side of each channel to view detailed information.

Managing Channel Availability Details

By default, the search criteria from search can be reused or changed. Use the following to search:
  • Check-In Date: Select the Check-In Date. This field is required.

  • Stay Nights: Enter the number of stay nights. This field is required.

  • Channel Room Types: Select one or multiple Channel Room Types.

  • Channel Rate Codes: Select one or multiple channel rate codes.

Expand the Show More section to search in more detail:
  • No. of Adults: Enter the number of adults.

  • No. of Children: Enter the number of children.

  • Children Ages: Enter the age of children by separating with a comma, for example 1,5. This field is only accessible if No. of Children is entered.

  • Access Code: Enter the access code that enables users to get the negotiated rate.

Click Search to get search results. Only records matching all the selected criteria appear. Click Reset to reset the search data.

Note:

If the tax is inclusive, the price on the card shows the tax included.

Viewing Channel Availability Details and Offer Details

The grey card on the left- hand side shows the status of the rate code, the code, name, and description of the rate code.

On the right-hand side, each room type with its rate is shown. Click Room Type to view the Offer details.

Basic Information
  • Rate Code: Shows the code of the rate code.

  • Rate Code Category: Shows the category of the rate code.

  • Rate Code Type: Shows the type of the rate code.

  • Access Code: Shows the access code that enables users to get the negotiated rate.

  • Room Type Code: Shows the code of the room type.

  • Room Type: Shows the room type description.

  • Room Category: Shows the name of the room category.

Rate Details
  • Total Amount Before Tax: Shows the total amount of the rate excluding tax.

  • Total Amount After Tax: Shows the total amount of the rate including tax.

  • Total Tax Amount: Shows the total tax amount.

  • Currency: Shows the currency of the rate.

  • Rate Change Indicator: Shows whether the rate can be changed.

  • Tax Inclusive: Shows whether the tax is included.

Policies

This section shows the policies configured on Configuration > Policies.
  • Code: Shows the policy code.

  • Description: Shows the policy description.

  • Type: Shows the policy type.

  • Amount: Shows the policy amount.

  • Percentage: Shows the policy percentage.

Click Close to return to the Channel Availability details.
