Prerequisites for Revenue Buckets

Revenue buckets allow you to group the various revenue, non-revenue and payment transaction codes transaction codes configured at your property into buckets. Rather than displaying or outputting totals per transaction code, revenue buckets display or output the summarized total per bucket. The following buckets types are seeded on provisioning for the following uses:
  • BILLING: Revenue summary in Billing

  • PROFILE: Revenue and payment buckets in a profile’s stay revenue details

  • DEFAULT: Revenue and payment buckets for exports files generated

  • COMP: Revenue buckets for Comp Accounting transaction codes; used to consolidate charges in reports and exports Gaming badge.

When the Oracle Hospitality OPERA Comp Accounting Cloud Service is active, you can configure comp revenue buckets that contain the comp revenue statistics for a guest’s comp transactions. You can also associate one or more comp transaction codes to a comp revenue bucket and set up comp revenue buckets for each property as well as copy them to other properties.

To access the Comp Revenue Buckets feature, select the Administration menu, select Financial, select Transaction Management, and then select Revenue Bucket Codes.
