Configuring Event Forecasts

You can establish Event Type/Revenue Type forecasts by date range. You can define Event Forecasts to manage different revenue forecasts for different types of bookings, such as corporate versus social. You can also copy Event Forecasts. The capabilities are designed to reduce manual updates, provide accurate forecasts, and improve reporting.

Adding Event Forecasts

  1. From the Administration Menu, select Booking, select Resource Management, and select Event Forecast Maintenance.

  2. Select or confirm the Property.

  3. Click New and complete the following:

    1. Event Type. Select an Event Type from the list; OPERA Cloud autofills a description and currency type.

    2. Start Date. Enter a start date for the forecast.

    3. End Date. Enter an end date for the forecast.

    4. Market Code. Select a market code.

    5. Block Type. Select a block type.

  4. Click New to open the Revenue Details dialog and complete the following:.

    1. Revenue Type. Select a revenue type from the list.

    2. Amount. Enter a forecast amount.

    3. Forecast Type. Select to apply the amount as either a flat amount or per person.

  5. Click Save.

  6. Click Save again.

Editing Event Forecasts

  1. From the Administration Menu, select Booking, select Resource Management, and select Event Forecast Maintenance.
  2. Enter search criteria and click Search.
  3. From your search results, select the Event Forecast to update, click the vertical ellipsis, and select Edit.

  4. Make your changes.

  5. Click Save.

Deleting Event Forecasts

  1. From the Administration Menu, select Booking, select Resource Management, and select Event Forecast Maintenance.

  2. Enter search criteria and click Search.

  3. From your search results, select the Event Forecast to update, click the vertical ellipsis, and select Delete.

  4. Click Delete again to confirm.

Copying Event Types

  1. From the Administration Menu, select Booking, select Resource Management, and select Event Forecast Maintenance.

  2. Enter search criteria and click Search.

  3. From your search results, select an Event Type, click the page level vertical ellipsis, and select Copy.

  4. Enter search criteria and click Search.

  5. From the search results, select the Event Types you want to copy, and click the down arrow to move them to the bottom of the screen.

    Note:

    You can return moved Event Types from the bottom of the screen to the list of all Event Types by selecting them and then clicking the up arrow.
  6. Click Save. On the Review and Copy panel, complete the following fields:

    1. Copy Event Type As. From the list of values, select the Event Type for the copied event.

    2. Copy Start Date As. Select the start date.

    3. Copy End Date As. Select the end date.

    4. Copy Market Codes As. From the list of values, select the Market Code for the copied event.

    5. Copy Block Type As. From the list of values, select a Block Type for the copied event.

  7. Click Copy and Continue. Verify the Copy Results and click Print.
