Managing All Reservation and Block Traces
Traces are actionable instructions for a selected department for a specific date and time; once in action the trace is updated as resolved.
This reservation workspace option provides access to all reservation and block traces for selected departments and date range.
Adding a Reservation Trace
- 
                        From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Bookings, select Reservation Workspace, and then select Traces. 
- 
                        Click New and enter the following details:- 
                                 Trace Type: Select Reservation. 
- 
                                 Name: Enter reservation name and search for reservation. Default search is for inhouse reservations. 
- 
                                 Department: Select the department(s) for the trace. 
- 
                                 From Date: Enter a start date for the trace. 
- 
                                 To Date: Enter an end date for the trace (field defaults to same as start date). 
- 
                                 Time: Enter a time. 
- 
                                 Trace text: Enter the trace text.- 
                                          Quick Insert Text: Click to select from pre-configured trace text for the selected department.

                        Click Save. 
Adding a Block Trace
- 
                        From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Bookings, select Reservation Workspace, and then select Traces. 
- 
                        Click New and enter the following details: - 
                              Trace Type: Select Block 
- 
                              Block: Enter block name and search for block. 
- 
                              Department: Select the department(s) for the trace. 
- 
                              From Date: Enter a start date for the trace. 
- 
                              To Date: Enter an end date for the trace (field defaults to same as start date). 
- 
                              Time: Enter a time. 
- 
                              Trace text: Enter the trace text.- 
                                       Quick Insert Text: Click to select from pre-configured trace text for the selected department.

                        Click Save. 
Viewing /Updating a Trace
Note:
Only open traces are displayed by default; to view completed traces click the Vertical Ellipsis then, Show Completed.
- 
                        From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Bookings, select Reservation Workspace, and then select Traces. 
- 
                        Enter search criteria, click Search. 
- 
                        Select a trace in the search result, click ± to expand the card and view trace details. 
- 
                        Click the vertical ellipsis Actions menu and select Edit. 
- 
                        Update details. 
- 
                        Click Save. 
Completing a Trace
- 
                        From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Bookings, select Reservation Workspace, and then select Traces. 
- 
                        Enter search criteria, click Search. 
- 
                        Select a trace in the search result, then click the vertical ellipsis Actions menu and select Complete. 
Deleting a Trace
- 
                        From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Bookings, select Reservation Workspace, and then select Traces. 
- 
                        Enter search criteria, click Search. 
- 
                        Select a trace in the search result, then click the vertical ellipsis Actions menu and select Delete. 
- 
                        Click Delete to confirm.
