You can customize the OPERA Cloud user interface using Page Composer.

If you have the Customize Chain or Customize Property task assigned to your role then you

can re-arrange fields and add or delete fields on any panel with a gear icon.

Let's get started.

First, to turn on customization, in OPERA Cloud click the side menu and then click Settings.

Now I can choose the option to customize, at the chain or the property level.

In this example, I select to turn on property customization.

Then click Save.

Now, I see the customizing mode notification appears next to the OPERA Cloud user name

on the menu bar.

Now I can customize any panel with the gear icon.

In this example, I will customize the overview panel on the reservation, by adding a custom

field that saves a voucher number to the reservation.

I will make this field required for reservations with the VFREE rate code.

I will also add a link to open an external voucher tracking website.

To find the reservation, I go to Bookings, click Reservations and then click Manage Reservation.

Now, click the I want to menu and then click the confirmation number or guest name to open

a recently viewed reservation.

On the reservation overview, click the gear icon, and then click Add Field.

Go to the bottom of the list to select Flex Field, and then select Add Text.

Now, to define the properties of the custom field, I select Yes to display the field on

the screen.

Then, I select No from the read-only drop-down list, to make this field updateable.

Next, I select Custom from the required drop down list and then click the code bracket.

I enter the expression language code, to return "TRUE" only when the reservation rate code

equals "VFREE" and then click Evaluate.

Next, I'll click Apply.

Now, this Flex field is mandatory for reservations with the VFREE rate code.

Next, I change the field label to "voucher number" and then click save.

I can click the pencil icon to edit or verify the customization saved.

Next, to add a link, I click Add Field, go to the bottom of the list and select Flex Field, and then

click Add Link.

Now, I can change the text description for the field to voucher tracking.

Then, in the destination field, I enter the URL for the external website.

I select the checkbox to launch the URL in a New browser tab.

And then click Save.

Now, I see the voucher number and the voucher tracking link I just created.

To turn off the ability to customize, I click the side menu and then click settings.
