Configuring Profile Protection

Profile protection is used to protect certain profile fields from being changed by users when the profile is subscribed with an external system. When the Profile Protection (Method) OPERA Control is set to By Profile a Protected check box is enabled in the Profile Overview panel in Profile Presentation, which must be selected to enable protection of the subscribed profile. When the Profile Protection (Method) OPERA Control is set to By Profile Type the protection rules apply to all subscribed profiles of the profile type.

The Override Profile Protection user tasks then allows users to override the protection rules when updating profiles.
