Configuring Floor Plans

Floor plan configuration enables you to upload floor plan images and then draw areas (for rooms) on the image and link those areas to rooms.

Adding a Floor Plan

1. From the Administration menu, select Enterprise, select Image Management, and then select Floor Plan.

2. Click New and complete the following fields:

   1. Floor Plan. Enter a floor number.

   2. Description. Enter a description of the floor plan.

3. Click Choose Image and select an image to upload. This can be a PNG, JPG, JPEG, or a GIF file.

   Note:

   External web images are not supported for floor plans.

4. Click Save.

Editing a Floor Plan

1. From the Administration menu, select Enterprise, select Image Management, and then select Floor Plan.

2. Enter search criteria and click Search.

3. In the search results, click the vertical ellipsis Actions menu for the floor plan and then select Edit.

4. Update the configuration

5. Click Save.

Deleting a Floor Plan

1. From the Administration menu, select Enterprise, select Image Management, and then select Floor Plan.

2. Enter search criteria and click Search.

3. In the search results, click the vertical ellipsis Actions menu for the floor plan then select Delete

4. Click Delete to confirm the deletion.

Mapping Rooms to an Area Drawn on a Floor Plan

1. From the Administration menu, select Enterprise, select Image Management, and then select Floor Plan.

2. Enter search criteria and click Search.

3. In the search results, click the vertical ellipsis for the floor plan and select Map Rooms.

4. In the Controls panel, activate the Draw control.

5. To begin drawing regions for each room on the image, click in the image, drag to draw the shape, and click again to finish.

   1. To draw rectangles or squares, activate the Rectangle/Square control in the Controls panel, click the first point / corner of the rectangle or square, and then move your cursor to the opposite corner and click again to complete it.

   2. To draw circles, activate the Circle control in the Controls panel, click where you want to draw the circle, drag to increase the size of the circle, and click again to complete it.

   3. To draw polygons, activate the Polygon control in the Controls panel, click each point of the polygon, and then click the first point (red point) again to complete the shape.

   4. To copy or paste onto the image, activate the Copy/Paste control in the Controls panel, click the shape you want to copy, and then click the area on the image where you want to paste it.

   5. To move a shape, activate the Move control in the Controls panel, click the shape to pick it up, drag it to the new position, and then click again to drop it in place.

   6. To delete a shape, active the Delete control in the Controls panel and then click the shape you want to delete.

   7. To cancel a shape, move your cursor outside the drawing area.

6. Click Clear All to clear any shapes you have drawn.

7. Click Edit/Update Selections to link a selection (room region) from the floor plan to a respective room number.

   1. Search for and select the required room number for the selected room region.

8. Click Save when finished.
