Managing Catering Packages on Blocks

Catering Packages allow for multiple events and resources to be grouped together and sold at a total price per person or a flat price. You can attach pre-configured Catering Packages to blocks and edit the package details, copy, or delete the packages.

The events and resources associated to the Catering Package can be customized based on the customer requirements. Events can be deleted or the details can be modified as needed. Additional resources including menus and items can be added to the event, and you can determine whether the resource is included in the package or charged separately.

Package events have special handling for attendees, which allows a property to indicate and charge separately for additional guests who are not on the package. For example, a package may include a dinner where there will be five additional guest speakers. In the event screen, the field for package expected will show the number of attendees on the package and the expected field would be updated to include the additional guests indicating the total number of attendees for the dinner. The additional guests will be charged at the menu price.

The Revenue Summary screen shows the revenue generated from the catering package and the non-package revenue separately. This allows you to easily identify and manage both the package and non-package revenue.
