Configuring Activity Types

Sales Activity Types are the various actions you or your team take to transition customers through the sales process. When the Auto Traces OPERA Control is active, Sales Activity Types are also referenced in Sales Activity Auto Traces which are rules to automate the creation of sales activities for Sales Accounts, Contacts, Blocks or other Sales Activities.

Adding Sales Activity Types

When the multi-property Cloud Service is active, you can create new Activity Types by selecting the Template tab. After creating them, you can copy an Activity Type to specific properties using the Copy action. For more information, see Copying Configuration Codes to Multiple Properties.

  1. From the Administration menu, select Client Relations, select Activity Management, and select Activity Types.

  2. Click New and complete the following:
    1. Property: Enter or select the property.

    2. Activity Type: Enter a code for the activity type.

    3. Description: Enter a description for the activity type.

    4. Activity Class: Select an activity class from the list: Appointment or To Do. The Appointments and To Do List dashboard tiles reference this selection.

    5. Sequence: Enter a sequence number to indicate the ranking of this activity type in a list.

    6. Internal: Select the check box to exclude the default activities created for this activity type from communication with integrated systems.

  3. Click Save or click Save and Continue to add another.

Editing Sales Activity Types

  1. From the Administration menu, select Client Relations, select Activity Management, and select Activity Types.

  2. Enter search criteria and click Search.

  3. From the search result, select the activity type, then click the vertical ellipsis Actions menu and select Edit.

    1. Update the configuration.

    2. Inactive: Select the check box to make the activity type inactive.

  4. Click Save.

Deleting Activity Types

  1. From the Administration menu, select Client Relations, select Activity Management, and select Activity Types.

  2. Enter search criteria and click Search.

  3. From the search result, select the activity type, then click the vertical ellipsis Actions menu and select Delete .

  4. Click Delete to confirm.

Copying Sales Activity Types

When the OPERA Multi-property Cross Reservation Cloud Service is active, you can copy activity types to specific properties using the Copy action. For more information, see Copying Configuration Codes to Multiple Properties
