About Language Codes

Language codes help you to identify the native language of guests and contacts. The language value selected in profiles can be sent to integrated systems such as in-room video and voice mail systems.

When the Multi-language OPERA Control is active the language value selected in profiles is used to define the template and translation of code descriptions fetched when generating stationery.

• You can setup translation for code descriptions, per language, using the Manage Translations link throughout the Administration menu.

• The language code in a guest or contact profile determines the stationery template and translation output when generating confirmations, registration cards, receipts and folios. For company and agents, the language code determines the template and translation used for generating folios, statements, reminder letters, contracts, quotes, and banquet event orders. Language codes are also used for translation of the OPERA Cloud user interface. Menus, messages, actions, links and field labels are displayed in the language selected in your user profile. You can also change the language for your current user session in Settings.
