Update the Business Date

The business date can be advanced when:
  • All expected departures are settled and checked out or their departure date extended or otherwise resolved from due out status.

  • All open cashiers are closed.

    Note:

    With the Auto Close Cashiers OPERA Control is active. Open cashiers are automatically closed during End of Day

When the above two tasks have been accomplished, OPERA Cloud displays a notification to users, advising a duration before the business date advances.

The browser tab where you are running End of Day remains active to complete the process. In any other browser tabs and additional browser sessions (including incognito) a message that the business date is being advanced (updated) is displayed and once completed a confirmation message appears. Selecting OK refreshes OPERA Cloud with the new business date.

All other user sessions will receive a message that the business date will be advanced (updated) and once complete their sessions will automatically log out.
