Create and Manage Scheduled Reports (Video Transcript)

In this video you will learn how to create  and manage a scheduled report. Using the

report scheduler you can schedule reports to  automatically generate at a specific time interval

and frequency to selected destinations. Let's get  started. In OPERA cloud go to reports and then

select manage reports. In this example, I select  arrival from the report group drop down list

and then click search. Now I select the arrivals  detailed report from the list and then click the

vertical ellipsis and select schedule report. Next  I step through the process to configure the report

parameters, the time intervals, and the report  destination. I can configure the schedule to

dynamically calculate the arrival date for the  report. In this example, to schedule the report

to generate with tomorrow's arrivals I select  the business date from the activity date range

options and then click plus one. Now I can see  the validate date option displays the date range

configured for this report. In this example, the  report runs today and generates for tomorrow's

date. Next, select any search criteria or  options to configure what outputs on the

report. In this example, room number is selected.  Next I can use the arrows to select the sort order

and then click next. Now I can define the report  intervals including the start date and time

and how often the report repeats. To set the  report schedule to run indefinitely do not select

an end date. In this example I select repeat and  one day intervals and then I set the time to 12 pm.

Then click next. Now the report is scheduled  to run every day at 12 pm. To define the

report destination I change the file name  to arrivals report and I select a file type

from the drop-down list. In this example I select  pdf, then click new. From the mode drop-down list

I can select to email, print or post the  pdf to an ftp server by selecting sftp.

In this example, I select to email the report in  pdf format. Then I enter the recipient's email

address and click save. Now I click manage  scheduled reports to see a list of all the

scheduled reports including the scheduled report  I just created. I can pause the report schedule

by turning the reported scheduled toggle off. Now  I can click the vertical ellipsis to edit, delete,

or view the report destinations, or I can choose to  run the report right now. Then click ok to confirm.
