Creating Additional Posting Master Reservation

Additional posting master (PM room type) reservations can be created for a block as needed.

Posting Master reservations linked to a block are used for two purposes:

1. Billing : where various sales charges need to be routed or transferred from individual block room reservation accounts to a 'Block master account' for settlement.

2. Rooming List: where the selected Posting Master reservation is used as a template for reservations created via rooming list. Reservations created inherit their attributes from the selected post master reservation You can create multiple PM templates reservations according to your needs.

When the Always Used Fixed Rate OPERA Control is active, a posting master reservation is created with the Fixed Rate check box checked, else the Fixed Rate check box is unchecked.

Note:

The rate code(s) selected for the block require a 0.00 price schedule for the PM room type.

Creating Block Posting Master Reservation

1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Bookings, select Blocks, and then select Manage Block.

2. Enter search criteria, click Search.

3. Select a block in the search result, then click I Want To . . ., and select Posting Master.

4. The message You are about to create an additional PM reservation. Do you wish to continue? is displayed.

5. Click Yes.

6. Click Go to Posting Master to launch Reservation Presentation and update the posting master reservation details.
