Managing Event Notes

You can add notes to events to communicate details and updates to other departments. The Event Notes feature is available from the row-level I Want To action on the Manage Event Search screen and from the I Want To action on the Event Presentation screen.

Note:

You can also access Events linked to a Block from the Block search screen by selecting the Manage Everts details link. For more information, see Searching for Blocks: Advanced Search.

Adding Event Notes

  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Bookings, select Events, and select Manage Events.

  2. Enter search criteria and click Search.

  3. Select the Event in the search result, clickI Want To . . . then click Event Notes or open the event and click Event Notes in Event Presentation.

  4. Click New and enter the following details:
    1. Type: Select the note type from the list. For more information, see Configuring Note Types.

    2. Internal: Select check box to mark the note as internal; internal notes are excluded from output on client correspondence by default.

      Note:

      Internal notes are excluded from output on client correspondence or on reports unless the report explicitly allows display of Internal Notes. You can uncheck this check box when Override Internal is selected in the note type configuration.
    3. Title: Enter a title for the note.

    4. Sequence: Enter a sequence for the note.

    5. Comment: Enter or paste the note details; a maximum of 2000 characters (single byte) is supported.

  5. Click Save or click Save and Create Another Note to add another note.

Viewing and Updating Event Notes

  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Bookings, select Events, and select Manage Events.

  2. Enter search criteria and click Search.

  3. Select the Event in the search result, click I Want To . . . then click Event Notes or open the event and click Event Notes in Event Presentation.

  4. Select the note, click [+] to expand the card and read the note comments.

  5. Click the vertical ellipsisActions menu, and then click Edit.

  6. Update note details.

  7. Click Save.

Deleting Event Notes

  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Bookings, select Events, and select Manage Events.

  2. Enter search criteria and click Search.

  3. Select the Event in the search result, click I Want To . . . then click Event Notes or open the event and click Event Notes in Event Presentation.

  4. Click the vertical ellipsisActions menu, and then click Delete.

  5. Click Delete to confirm.
