Updating Folio Number Sequences

You can set the start number for a folio sequence for any Folio Type or general default folio when Folio Types are not used. The following conditions apply when creating a new Folio Start Sequence:
  • The number you enter in the New Folio Start Sequence field increments by one when the folio is generated.

  • The Folio Sequence is property specific.

  • An error message appears when a duplicate number is attempted.

Creating a New Start Sequence

  1. From the Toolbox menu, select Utilities, select Document Number Update, and select Folio Numbers.

    Note:

Select the Show Internal checkbox to include the Internal Folio Type in the search results.
  2. Enter the Property name and click Search.
    1. If no Folio Types exist, an option for the property’s default folio appears allowing you enter a new Folio Start Sequence value.

    2. If Folio Types are configured for the property, all Folio Types appear. Each Folio Type displays the current Folio Start Sequence and provides the New Folio Start Sequence field for manually updating the sequence.

  3. Locate the Folio Type you want to update and enter a new start value in the New Folio Start Sequence field.

  4. Click Save.

    Note:

The number you enter increments by one when the folio is generated. For example, entering 100 as the start value results in a folio number of 101 as the initial value. No update occurs if you leave the New Folio Start Sequence field blank for a folio type listed.
