Prerequisites for Desktop ID Scanning
When the Oracle Hospitality OPERA ID Document Scanning Cloud Service is active you can configure and enable the scanning of identification documents using a partner scanning solution and hardware.
ID document scanning is available in the Identification panel of a guest or contact profile and is also as available as part of the reservation check-in. On completion of an ID document scan, you are presented with the profile information comparison screen, enabling you to retain or overwrite existing values obtained from the scan. In addition to the document data, an image of the ID document may be captured and stored securely as an attachment on the profile. For more information see, OPERA Controls — Profile.
