Changes Log

The Changes Log provides a history of user activity and details the user who performed the action, the date, the time, the activity type and a description of the change. For example, it can show you activity such as reservation check ins, check outs, posting of charges, adjustments and payment, and the creation or update of profiles, reservations, blocks and events. Changes to your property configuration are also captured, along with activity from integrated systems based on the service account user as defined in Oracle Identity Manager.

When the Store IP Address in Changes Log OPERA Control is active, search results display the workstation IP address. When the Device Selection for Changes Log Tracking OPERA Control is active, search result displays the workstation device details. For more information, Configuring Client Devices

From a hub location , the changes log provides details of changes that are not property specific. For example, profiles (if profile sharing is active) updates as well a global configuration changes such as VIP codes, Enrollment Codes, Membership Types, and global OPERA Controls.

Note:

When the Payment Service Directive OPERA Control is active, the CIT (Customer Initiated Transaction) value received can be viewed in New Reservation, Update Reservation & Record Credit Card Approval activity.

Tip:

Reservation related activity is purged 30-180 days after check out, cancellation or no-show. Other user activity is purged 30-180 days after the date of the activity. It is recommended to add the User Activity Log report, for the current business day's activity, to End of Day reports for archival purposes. For more information, see Configuring Interim / Final Procedures and Reports.
