Configuring Catering Packages / Templates

Catering packages and templates are designed to make it easier for you to set up Events. They provide pre-configured resources typically used for Events. Templates and packages are similar except that templates do not include prices.

Adding a Catering Package / Template

  1. From the Administration menu, select Booking, select Resource Management, and then select Catering Package / Template Setup.

  2. Click New and complete the following fields:

    1. Type. Select an option based on whether you are creating a catering package or a template:

      1. Package - a group of events with defined resources priced at a flat rate or per person price that remain linked together after you add the package to a block.

      2. Template - a group of events with defined resources that do not continue linked together and are not priced as a group after you add the template to a block.

    2. Code. Enter a code representing the catering package, such as Daily.

    3. Description. Enter a description of the catering package, such as Daily Meeting Planner Package.

    4. Manage Translations. Click link to configure localized descriptions. For more information, see Configuring Localized Code Descriptions. (Available when the Multi-language OPERA Control is active.).

    5. Duration. The number of days covered by the package or template. For example, a package might include two days with lunch and dinner on each day.

  3. Click Save and Go To Presentation to save and open the presentation so that you can complete the catering package configuration.

Editing a Catering Package / Template

  1. From the Administration menu, select Booking, select Resource Management, and then select Catering Package / Template Setup.

  2. Enter search criteria and click Search.

  3. From your search results, select the package, click the vertical ellipsis, and select Edit.

  4. In the Catering Package Details panel, click Edit.

  5. Make the required changes and click Save.

Deleting a Catering Package / Template 

  1. From the Administration menu, select Booking, select Resource Management, and then select Catering Package / Template Setup.

  2. Enter search criteria and click Search.

  3. From your search results, select the package, click the vertical ellipsis, and select Delete.

  4. Click Delete to confirm.
