Configuring Meal Periods

Prerequisites for Configuring Meal Periods

A catering meal period is an event classification that allows you to group catering event types, for example Breakfast, Lunch, Coffee Break, and so on.

You can associate an event type with a single catering meal type for reporting in the Meal Type Forecast report.

You can configure a maximum of seven meal periods.

Adding Meal Periods

  1. From the Administration menu, select Booking, select Resource Management, and then select Meal Periods.

  2. Click New and complete the following:

    1. Code. Enter an Item Template Name.

    2. Description. Click link to configure localized descriptions. For more information, see Configuring Localized Code Descriptions. (Available when the Multi-language OPERA Control is active.).

    3. Sequence. Enter a display sequence to indicate the Meal Period code sequence in a list.

  3. Click Save.

Editing Meal Periods

  1. From the Administration menu, select Booking, select Resource Management, and then select Meal Periods.

  2. Enter search criteria and click Search.

  3. Select the meal period, click the vertical ellipsis, and select Edit.

  4. Update details.

  5. Click Save.

Deleting Meal Periods

  1. From the Administration menu, select Booking, select Resource Management, and then select Meal Periods.

  2. Enter search criteria and click Search.

  3. Select the meal period, click the vertical ellipsis, and select Delete.

  4. Click Delete to confirm.
