Synchronizing Business Events

Business Event Synchronization enables you to capture past business event data and upload it to external systems. The following OPERA Cloud modules offer data synchronization: Reservations, Blocks, Profiles, Availability, End of Day Routine, Rates, Profiles History, and Configuration. With the exception of Profiles History, all these are standard modules in Business Event setup. Data synchronization is dependent on the subscription of business events and data elements within each module. To initiate Business Event synchronization:

1. From the OPERA Toolbox menu, select Utilities, select Synchronization , then select Business Events.

2. Property: Select a property from the list.

3. External System: Select the external system to receive the business events.

4. Reservations: Select the check box to synchronize reservation events.

   1. Arrival: All reservations whose arrival date is within the date range will be synchronized.

      1. From Date: Enter or select a date.

      2. To Date : Enter or select a date.

   2. Stay: All reservations whose stay dates are within the date range will be synchronized.

      1. From Date: Enter or select a date.

      2. To Date : Enter or select a date.

5. Blocks: Select the check box to synchronize blocks events.

   1. Begin (Arrival): All blocks whose begin date is within the date range will be synchronized.

      1. From Date: Enter or select a date.

      2. To Date : Enter or select a date.

   2. Stay: All blocks whose stay dates are within the date range will be synchronized.

      1. From Date: Enter or select a date.

      2. To Date : Enter or select a date.

6. Availability: Select the check box to synchronize Availability

7. Rate: Select the check box to synchronize rate codes. All rates created within the date range will be synchronized

   1. From Date: Enter or select a date.

   2. To Date : Enter or select a date.

8. Profile: All profiles created within the date range will be synchronized.

   1. From Date: Enter or select a date.

   2. To Date : Enter or select a date.

9. Profile History: All profiles with stored reservation history and arrivals dates within the date range will be synchronized.

   1. From Date: Enter or select a date.

   2. To Date : Enter or select a date.

10. Night Audit: Night audit statistical information within the date range will be synchronized

    1. From Date: Enter or select a date.

    2. To Date : Enter or select a date.

    3. Hotel Statistics: Synchronization will include hotel statistics that are within the date range.

    4. Market Statistics: Synchronization will include market statistics that are within the date range.

    5. Revenue Sum: Synchronization will include revenue sums within the date range.

11. Configuration

    1. Commission Code: All configured commission codes will be synchronized.

    2. Commission Transaction: All configured commission-able transaction codes will by synchronized.

    3. Currency Codes: All configured currency codes will be synchronized.

    4. Currency Exchange Rate: All configured currency exchange rates will be synchronized.

    5. Department: All configured departments will be synchronized.

    6. Inventory Control: All configured restrictions will be synchronized.

    7. Market Code: All configured market codes will be synchronized.

    8. Note Type: All configured note types will be synchronized.

    9. Origin Code: All configured origin codes will be synchronized.

    10. Package Codes: All configured package codes and package groups will be synchronized.

    11. Preference: All configured preferences will be synchronized.

    12. Preference Group: All configured preference groups will be synchronized.

    13. Reservation Type: All configured reservation types will be synchronized.

    14. Room Class: All configured room classes will be synchronized.

    15. Room Type: All configured room types will be synchronized.

    16. Source Code: All configured source codes will be synchronized.

    17. Transaction Code: All configured transaction codes will be synchronized.

    18. Users: All configured users will be synchronized.

    19. VIP Level: All configured VIP levels will be synchronized.

12. Click Synchronize Business Events.
