Prerequisites for Associating Transaction (Charge) Codes to a Chain Role

When the Transaction Code by User Role OPERA Control is active, you can restrict the sales charges a user can post to a reservation or AR account by associating transaction codes to their role(s). For example, you could restrict concierge staff to only posting charges for tours, transport and theater tickets.

Associating Transaction Codes with a Chain Role

1. From the Role Manager, select Manage Chain Roles.

2. Enter a Role and click Search.

3. Select the chain role in the search result, then click the vertical ellipsis Actions menu and select Associate Transaction Codes.

4. Enter or select a Property.

5. In the Available panel, click the transaction codes you want to assign to the role.

   Note:

   Use the filter to search by entering a specific transaction code or a partial description and clicking Go.

6. Click the arrow > to move the selected transaction codes to selected panel.

7. Click the arrow < to remove selected transaction codes in selected panel.

8. Click the double greater than arrow >> to move all transactions codes matching the search filter to the selected panel.

9. Repeat for next property.

10. Click Save when finished.
